I can get lost in my thoughts easily. Slipping into a state of thinking so hard that I can't make any decisions. I titled this series 'Spiraling' because that is a feeling that comes up a lot when I create. My work reflects my attempt at breaking out of the spiral. I try to let go of controlling the outcome of a piece through spontaneous marks like scribbles and dots. The unplanned actions help me momentarily escape from overthinking and translate what's occurring in my head into something you can see. It's a challenging balance, knowing when to stop and accept the outcome, even if it's not immediately satisfying.
