A pinhole camera fashioned from my mother’s cremation box. Filled with mementos and transparencies of medical scans, the camera captures my breath, echoing across diverse environments. As the camera is Placed against my chest during exposure, it becomes a conduit for exploring liminal spaces, echoing my mother’s presence in every exposure, as I navigate the threshold between life and loss. Exploring the interplay of emotion, materiality, and self. Objects within the camera obscure its aperture, blurring the lines between internal and external, subject and object. Delving into the metaphorical and narrative potential of illness.
