My process for painting begins with observations of the world around me. Working in layers of acrylic paint, I use improvisational marks as a base layer to build up from. “Electric Dream” explores various aspects of our electrical infrastructure such as power grids, circuit boards, and energy sources. Through the process of building up the image and distilling the key elements, a visual web is woven. By creating images of excess and visual noise, the viewer has many entry points into the composition
