These ceramic angels are the final sculptural pieces that I created during my time in Advanced Ceramics at the University of Oregon. These figures aim to portray the protective and sacred qualities of angelic divinity that I search for in my day-to-day life as well as aim to represent the compelling obsession within college girls today over these small angelic dolls. During my two years at university, I have seen many individuals around me spend significant money and time towards collecting these figurines. It's fascinating to observe a universal desire for childlike wonder as we enter the very beginning phases of our adult lives and have to find a way to accept that our childhoods are ending. This project strives to combine both of those concepts, adulthood and childhood
