Through adornment, my work explores the architecture and ornamentation of the Gothic Era and is placed on restrictive locations on the body. Detailed cutouts produce lacelike shadows and create a balance between the severity of the forms and their delicate ornateness. This work reflects concealment of pain for the sake of grandeur, where the body becomes the structure bearing the weight and balance of the pieces.
