My work is a meditation on change and time spanned, patience and introspection. Through painting I aim to embrace change while preserving the residue of past choices. My subject, who toggles between youthfulness and maturity, is captured in a quiet, contemplative moment reminiscent of saying grace at the dinner table. She embodies a sense of introspection and calm, while dwelling in the evocative, stirring feeling of being a child sitting in grace at the dinner table.
