My oil paintings can be seen as an insight into interior spaces and domestic furniture. I’ve made this work to instill the curiosity of these domestic spaces we neglect to observe and investigate. When spaces are displayed with the human figure, intentional design choices are thus hidden. We often define someone based on what they wear, say, or how they present themselves. But once their presence is removed and becomes absent, their core defining traits linger in the fabrication of what they may live with. What can then be left to observe are the figures of sinks, stairwells, and a couch.
