Personal and universal, these two photographs are from my BFA thesis exhibition. I explored theories of trace and punctum with my photography, to document the imperceptible process of aging. I chose to show this pair from the group because they feel to me like an illustration of watching time flow on without rest and trying to catch it with a photograph, but never being able to. I worked with 4” x 5” film, developing it and digitally scanning and printing my negatives to make these prints.
