The Iris Lamp features an elegant bent metal form that plays with the idea of modern tradition. Inspired by space age designs, the circular base creates a catchall for small items while the corresponding top ring holds the lamp shade. The cloth covered cord drapes out of the top lamp rod, continuing the subtly playful line of the frame. I’m a product designer and craftsperson based in Portland, OR. As a designer, I focus on bringing the meditative quality of craft traditions to home goods. My aim is always to create mindful daily objects that bring people comfort and joy.
