STAG is a short-animated film exploring themes of anxiety produced by being queer in a Catholic environment. When protagonist Eve begins to explore her relationship with her classmate, Betty, a suppressed ability comes to light. I use devices from sci-fi, horror, and coming-of-age genres to express how an alienating upbringing can affect the relationship to one’s own identity/sense of self.
