Through a focus on experimental glaze work, Mourn-Reminisce investigates change, collapse, rebirth, and my existence in a time that is the past, present and future all at once. Acting as culmination of a year’s worth of dedication to ceramics, these organic forms push the viewer to consider how big life moments, such as finishing college, romantic and platonic breakups, death, and grief, often force one to live in the present while simultaneously reminiscing and mourning the past and preparing oneself for the future.
