In this body of work, I used a 4x5 camera to look at intimate details of space, a piece of conceptual architecture, and the details of people that I otherwise wouldn’t look far into. This work is a broad look into what I’ve learned over the course of this term while shooting a 4x5. Through three projects during ARTO352, I looked at landscape, architecture, & portraits. I implemented different techniques, such as moving the lens planes to bring things into focus, trying natural versus artificial lighting, and focusing on how light interacts with the view camera.
