The Elizabeth nightstand emerged from my interest in material exploration. Using a laser to cut unique patterns, I was able to transform rigid wood into a bendable material, resulting in the sliding door design. To maintain aesthetics, the back wall features kerf-like cuts of the same pattern, offering flexibility without revealing the pattern externally. The result is a simple, yet timeless design meant to seamlessly fit into any room. As a designer, I aim to keep discovering innovative ways to showcase the potential of sustainable materials.
