To become good at many things is simply a byproduct of the desire to learn; to master a single discipline is the culmination of years of hard work and rigorous practice. This lesson is central to who I am as a designer, and individual. I’ve found that being a “jack-of-all trades” is in itself, a trade to master. Moreover, while the idea of becoming the best at one thing is poetically enticing, being a multifaceted designer is what I strive to be. Walking the tightrope between examining new interests and perfecting what I already know is a difficult balance to keep, especially in a creative field.
