I make art about fat bodies and trans bodies because I am a fat trans person. Both fat and trans bodies are talked about with disdain, as if it is a moral failing to be fat or trans, and that both categories are ugly or undesirable. I think that fat trans bodies are beautiful, and my portraits of these forms highlight that beauty. I am interested in beauty outside of rigid capitalist colonial structures.
