I create small renditions of the past, and through enamel, seek to encapsulate the fragility of the moments and memories we tend to forget or take advantage of. I consider reflection as a treat, allowing myself to absorb the past and improve my future, learn through mistakes, and think through my actions. Through the practice of enamel, I sift layer upon layer, and then remove mistakes with an abrasive and conceal imperfections I seek to forget. The process of enamel parallels the process of memory; you can never fully remove an entire layer, and unintentional burnout will always be seen.
